Four-year-old Rocco Rossi thought for a minute when he was asked to name his favorite part of the Warren Police & Fire Open House. 'I like the dogs,' the young man said, pointing at a K9 team of law enforcers. That was no surprise to First Lt. Michael Shaw of the Michigan State Police. 'The dog is often the most popular thing at events with the public, such as this,' he said. More than 2,000 people gathered Sunday afternoon in the plaza and parking lots around 37th District Court and the Warren Police Department for annual event, which featured a variety of demonstrations by police officers and firefighters in Macomb County's largest community.
